The Cyber Assurance Risk Services (CARS) program defines the framework for Third Party Oversight and Risk Management protecting Capital One’s information. The goal of CARS is to confirm the third party’s ability to effectively safeguard our data and provide continual services. This role will support the governance framework with a strong focus on process management and program maturity. CARS is a high-performing, continuous-growth organization where feedback is sought, expected and regularly delivered.
We are seeking a forward-leaning, self-starter who will help us innovate and improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the CARS program. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated, self-starting professional with a solid foundational understanding and experience in process, relationship, and program management. The candidate will have well-developed communication and intrapersonal skills. The candidate must be a strong team player demonstrated by an ability to work efficiently with other team members cross functionally. The candidate will also be detail-oriented, results-focused, and have a proven track record of driving tasks to completion.
Responsibilities:
Drive program innovation by guiding cross-department initiatives through to completion
Manage team communications
Draft plans, educational materials, and communications designed to provide stakeholders with timely and accurate information regarding CARS initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to manage a wide range of Third Party security requirements related to evolving technologies and threat vectors
Develop lasting partnerships with various enterprise teams while balancing risk, business objectives, and business impact
Establish a positive relationship and collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to help formulate strategy and influence desired outcomes
Proactively identify impediments and appropriately drive resolution using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)
Effectively prioritize work and manage capacity
Proactively provide visibility into delivery targets and progress while integrating Agile principles into team practices and work products
Actively contribute to team continuous growth culture by seeking, delivering and incorporating feedback on all aspects of work
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 4 years of experience with Process Management and Change Management
At least 3 years of experience with third party risk management
At least 1 year of experience with Risk Management
At least 1 year of experience in Relationship Management
At least 1 year of experience with Agile Methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
4+ years of experience with third party risk management
3+ years of experience with governing risk frameworks (PCI DSS, NIST, or ISO)
3+ years of experience with Business Process Management (BPM), Six Sigma, or Lean process improvement techniques
1+ years of experience analyzing data
CISSP, CTPRP, or CRISC certification
