The Capital One Brand team is seeking a Senior Content Strategist, Brand and Product Marketing to manage and support content initiatives for our software line of business. We've developed a suite of internal solutions uniquely designed to meet the challenges of a digital-first, cloud-first business at scale. The Capital One Software team is exploring how these internal solutions across cloud, data, governance, and applications could serve the needs of other companies born or built in the cloud.
This role will set the agenda and lead all product-focused and educational content creation (including but not limited to landing pages, email, blogs, case studies, videos, tutorials, white papers, etc.) that helps to increase Capital One’s awareness and credibility as a technology leader/software producer and drive users to engage and take action.
We’re looking for an accomplished marketer who can make strategic recommendations for and lead development of customer-focused content that is compelling and highly discoverable. All content should tie back to a thoughtful, overarching strategy that focuses on our target personas, tells our tech story, and elevates the Capital One Master brand. The ideal candidate will be an experienced B2B or product marketer with a proven track record in content marketing, creative production, SEO, and web management.
What you’ll do
Collaborate with technology, product, and business teams to achieve a deep understanding of the target audience through research, defining their needs throughout the buyer journey
Leverage evidence to define a holistic, multi-channel content strategy that aligns with partner goals, maintaining a keen understanding of the role each piece of content plays in the marketing funnel and how it addresses the buyer’s needs (including but not limited to landing pages, email, blogs, case studies, videos, tutorials, white papers, etc.)
Lead a team in day-to-day execution of this strategy who will partner with other stakeholders to write, design and develop content that is clear and compelling, championing SEO best practices where relevant to improve visibility and reach.
Establish and evolve clear processes for strategic development, set prioritization, and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams
Collaborate with peers across Capital One to ensure strategic alignment with enterprise brand content standards.
Lead A/B testing agenda of content to optimize results in service of partner and program goals and evolve program based on content performance.
Lead a growing and evolving team of content strategists and creative producers
Define and influence enterprise-wide B2B product/software content marketing agenda

Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 5 years experience in content strategy, development or production
At least 7 years of experience in a marketing role
7 or more years of experience in content strategy, development or production
Experience developing content for the entire marketing funnel, including lead generation
Experience writing, developing or managing SEO content
Experience in B2B marketing and/or marketing technology products
