The Communications Manager is responsible for designing and delivering the Commercial communications strategy to promote broader awareness and associate engagement of Commercial priorities and initiatives. This Manager will be a part of the Commercial Bank Chief of Staff Office and will partner closely across the lines of business, horizontal partners, and Commercial communications to manage a high impact communications agenda.
Define, build, and execute a comprehensive Commercial communications strategy that keeps Associates informed, engaged, and inspired
Bring Commercial Bank’s narrative to life and integrate our businesses through creative storytelling and engaging experiences
Execute top of house Commercial communications including the roll-out and status of strategic objectives
Play an integral role promoting associate engagement to continue to energize the culture empowerment, engagement, and inclusion
Manage our communications calendar in partnership with LOB/horizontal partner chief of staff offices and internal communications
Track and leverage metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications delivered, and implement improvements to better serve our associates
Own communication initiatives, working with the chiefs of staff, colleagues and stakeholders to deliver timely, targeted, creative, and effective communications
Establish well-managed processes and maintain communication artifacts / tools
Meet communication deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining strong levels of partner morale and engagement
Strong business acumen and executive presence with a history of establishing and growing trusting relationships with executive leaders
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Experience with project management
Strong writing and story-telling skills with sound editorial judgment
The ability to distill complex content into clear, concise and engaging communications
Proficient at creating communication cascades within matrixed organizations
Experience managing issues and organizational change communications
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
Outstanding time management and organizational skills, with an ability to consistently execute multiple, and sometimes competing, activities and complex projects to high quality conclusion, on-time, and within budget
A track record of consistently acting with urgency as needed
Strong customer-orientation and proven track record of collaborative work relationships
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience as a communications specialist
BA in communications, marketing, English or journalism
At least 3 years of experience as a communications specialist
At least 1 year of experience in financial services, technology or other highly regulated industry
