About the Role:

 

Capital One’s Innovations and Technology Communications team within Corporate Communications is looking for an energetic, creative and results-driven Sr. Communications Associate who can partner with internal stakeholders, leaders and the broader team to develop and deliver on communications strategies that support Tech’s Business Resource Groups (Blacks in Tech, Hispanics in Tech, Women in Tech, Equality Allies) and our broader Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) focus.

  • Experienced in crafting communications for various audiences using different “voices” to represent your customer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with BRG leaders, the Tech Communications, DIB communicators, and cross-functional partners to develop a holistic communications strategy to engage associates in support of our DIB priorities.

  • Proactively plan and implement a range of strategies and creative solutions (leader blogs, email communications, Pulse site content, video, events etc.) to reach our target audience in support of Tech’s DIB initiatives.

  • Support the planning, content development, associate experience and communications/marketing for a range of events, including Town Halls and internal conferences.

  • Write and edit communications from a range of internal sources.

  • Ensure that communications tell an articulate, consistent story, providing the right context and level of detail.

  • Drive and/or collaborate with appropriate external partners on external marketing, communication, community activities and networking events.

  • Apply user-experience design and data-driven methodologies to create breakthrough, integrated experiences for our associates.

  • Build and maintain relationships with the Tech organization and internal and external communications partners to share best practices.

  • Utilize social computing platforms and graphics packages to create a media-rich communications experience for a diverse set of audiences.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • At least 3 years of internal communications experience in support of leaders and employees

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • At least 5 years of experience crafting communications in support of leaders and teams, demonstrating an ability to employ different styles and voices

  • At least 1 year of experience supporting Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives

  • At least 1 year of experience in HTML and design software packages
